New Life for an Old Metal Stool

There is always a few things I need around this house and one of them was another tall stool. So when I found a rusty old one in Grandpa Harvey's old shed, I was excited to get it home.

It took quite a bit of time and elbow grease to clean it up and sand it down. Then I taped it off and spray painted it. The chrome parts seemed really rusty but it sanded right off. Then I added some rubber tips to the feet and it was done!

Our First Garden on Robinhood Lane

I am so excited to see the beautiful weather. It really makes it fun to be outside doing all the outside things that need to be done. Bryan took time on the long Easter weekend to plant grass seed and mow.  Then he tilled up our first Robinhood Lane garden!

Easter Sunday began with a wonderful church service and then dinner with our family. Easter evening Bryan and I took advantage of the beautiful weather to plant the garden.

Spring Landscape Updates -- Trees!

It has been awhile since I posted. We had a bitter cold winter, with some serious snow at times. Once Bryan was out of town and I really needed to figure out how to get out. My daughter and I had just donned our overalls and grabbed our shovels when a neighbor appeared with a bobcat! We have great neighbors!

We even had snow flurries as recently as April 14. But spring is finally here and we are so excited to be able to enjoy being outside!

In the last two weeks the landscapers have returned. They planted some trees....

...and added some stepping stones to direct the patio down to the firepit, with some plants at the edge of the firepit.

The also added some mulch to our beds and everything looks really nice. Now we need some nice rain to really get the new grass seed growing and get the trees to green up.
